Hand Dyed Ribbons and Trims have that little something!

Needless to say, hand-dyed braids and ribbons are not really threads … And yet: you are looking for the very special “needlework thread” or the little extra that adds a bit more class to your textile work? Then you will surely find it here. Our hand-dyed ribbons and trims are great as an embellishment for quilts, clothing and whatever else you like to embellish.

Small flower bouquets on greeting cards, decorative accessories on canvas embroidery or a great needlework embellishment. Piping for patchwork, tucks for pockets or strong flowers. Our ribbons and trims are versatile and – of course – as washable as all our products from the Painter’s Threads Collection.

Hand Dyed Painter’s Cotton Tape

A strong tape made of cotton with a width of 16mm/5/8 inch. It has a real selfedge (no bias cut) and lends itself well to decorate or finish off edges, do tucks etc. The width of the band shows off Painter’s colors at their best.

Hand Dyed Painter’s RicRac Trim

Made of rayon with a high lustre. This lustre is even more enhanced by little spots of metallic on each tip of the ricrac. The metallic thread is of a silver color, getting a slightly “antique” finish during the dyeing process.

Hand Dyed Painter’s Single Loop Trim

Made of rayon gimp that forms little loops on one side. The opposite edge of the trim is slightly wavy. The onesided trim is especially useful to decorate necklines, the rim of slacks or made up into flowers.

Hand Dyed Painter’s Snail Trim

Rayon Gimp made up to look like little spirals. Each one being framed by a metallic thread of the same thickness. The little spirals are linked together over this metallic frame. The metallic thread is of a silver color, getting a slightly “antique” finish during the dyeing process.
